Who are we?
A Content Studio and Platform For Citizen Education
We create digital content and community interventions to educate voters about politics and governance. Our content includes Quick Bites, Mid Shots, and In-depth Round-ups in various languages, channels, and formats. We also have a youth collective across Sri Lanka that delivers important civic messages to grassroots and strengthens ways in which communities engage in this democracy.
What are we trying to do?
- #Politicslk attempts to address the current challenges in disseminating accurate information in easy-to-consume, simple and concise formats and moderating conversations around it; which is believed to be crucial in social and political advocacy and a healthy democracy.
- Through this platform #Politicslk aims to remove the existing detached / unconcerned attitude of citizens towards politics and governance affairs, strengthen and sustain civil society involvement in such spaces.
- Furthermore, the focus also remains on promoting and reinforcing democratic values and principles challenging and changing the existing political culture.
What do we want to achieve?
To strengthen informed decision making, civil society participation in politics and governance affairs and the promotion of democracy and its principles in Sri Lanka.
